You came in my life, what a lovely day,

It was a new hope,I thought you would stay,

My distress disappeared,and sorrows flew,

In my loneliness,when I found you,

But deep in my heart,I always knew,

That I am not the one for you.

Your words always left me enchanted,

I took on my soul whatever you said,

Did what I could, became what you wanted,

But in your eyes, for me I read,

Your feelings did tell me, although very few,

That I was not the one for you.

I may be nice, I may be true,

Everything in the world, for you I may do,

I may be honest in what I say,

But all my words shatter in your way,

I even open up my heart to you,

And you say I am not the one for you.

I feel the pain and I cry,

You are not mine, don't know why,

Being an all time loser, I am jaded,

All my dreams and hopes have faded,

Even if I lay my life and die for you,

I know I'll not be the one for you.

It may be that I am nothing to you,

I may not be the one for you,

And in my life I may never get you,

But I tell you, this is true,

That I love you, I really do,

And I'll always keep loving you.
